“Arevik” (Love Stories)

Finally came the day when I should go to visit my horse.
I havn't been here for such a long time that I ran to see my horse immediately. My horse's name is Arevik. I love her very much. Everyone loves that horse. Besides she was from a very famous tribe. When I entered the place where Arevik was living it was empty. I was very surprised that Arevik wasn't there and when I asked the owner where the horse is, he replied that Arevik had died in spring. They had burried her in the field. Many children were present. It was a very bright day and the field was full of flowers. When we were coming back we noticed that the view has changed, there were no flowers around it. We turned and saw that all the flowers of the field were on the tomb. The children were crying. When we saw that we understood how much children love Arevik.
I turned to go, I was crying too.
The summer sun was smiling in the sky, like it didn't notice what had happened, or it just didn't care about it.

untitled (Scary Stories)

One day we were playing at my friend’s. Her mother told me an incident.
“Once I went to the kitchen and saw a mouse. I shouted and my cry was so loud, the poor mouse got frightened and died.”

“Stray Animals & Me” (We and Animals)

I like animals very much. When dogs and cats come up to me, I always stroke their heads and scratch them behind their ears. If I happen to have bread and cheese with me, I feed them with great pleasure. As for sparrows, I’d like to catch and pat one of them, but as I know they may die, but I haven’t tried it yet. I only feed them.

“If I didn't exist...” (If I didn't exist...)

If I didn't exist, my parents would have been sad and my aunt wouldn't have lived in our house. If I didn't exist, my parents would have sold our house, and noone would live there, and because it is a very hot house, people would only live there in the winter. If I didn't exist, the number of students in my class would not have been even, and the teachers wouldn't have been able to halve the English and Russian groups. They had to take a child to another class because of me.
If I didn't exist, Levon from our class would only have got a 'two' in his Russian, in the entire school, if I hadn't helped him.

“To live without fear” (Youth & Peace)

To live without fear

When I was small, mother told me about her grandfather and his family. She said they had left their home during the genocide, all of them, the young and the old. Many of them died of the severity of the road. I listened and thought of those poor people. People used to live in their villages, cultivate soil, get married, have joyful and sad days, but war erased everything with its rubber.
When I try to imagine all this, I fail to: thousands of destroyed villages and extinct people. It is the peaceful population, including the old and the young, that suffers first during all the wars. Can't there be peace, can't people live in love and without wars. It is amazing we all want people to love us but wars break again. Sometimes I hear them say a war was over very fast, or few people were killed. I think the loss of even one person is a great trouble for the world. Even if people do not die, even if they just rumor of war, it is again a very bad thing. It is difficult to live with fear of a war breaking every minute.

“The Talking Candy” (Table Tales)

The Talking Candy

My mom had put the candies on the plate and put it on the table. I ran into the room, took one and went out. I was going to eat the candy, when I heard a voice:

“Don’t eat me, please,” asked the candy.

“But I like candies and I want to eat you.”

“It wouldn’t be good if you eat me. Throw me into the swimming pool, and wait.”

I was upset but I did what the candy said. Soon the water vaporized and my candy disappeared with it. I went home and began to do my homework. Soon it rained and candies fell down from the sky. There were candies hanging on branches of trees.

It was good I didn’t eat the talking candy.

untitled (Concerns)

Actually I am concerned with many things. For example, at this moment one of the greatest problems for me is friendship. Everything depends on money. If you have money, you have friends. You can trust no one. But you cannot buy friends, can you? Friendship is very artificial nowadays. I am concerned with that because I don’t think there is a man, who does not need a friend. That’s why people change their criteria; everything is being measured with money, which any child can tear and throw away.

“My kitties and me” (Confusion)

I have always dreamt to keep kitties. Once I found a little fluffy pussy in the yard. It had lost its mother. It was a new-born baby and could hardly be elder than a week. I liked the pussy very much but because it would be difficult to keep such a small one, I came home, leaving the kitten out. A few weeks later I saw a kitten coming from behind my mom. It was the kitty. It was ill. We cured it and left it stay in our yard. Keeping a kitty is very easy but I would better tell you about this later, I am tired, besides there is no more place left on my sheet.
