“Whose state is More Serious?” (Open letters, Declaration-protests, Talks & interviews)

Perhaps you've read my sister Arpine Grigoryan's "Serious Matter". She is a tenth-year pupil, she's busy studying all day long and the only thing, as she herself says, that consoles her is music. We have hardly persuaded her to put on head-phones while listening to the radio not to disturb us. But whenever she puts them on she starts singing in a high irritating voice. My father, mother and I call out from different rooms for Arpine to stop singing but she doesn't hear us. A terrible noise arises, but that's still OK. She has possessed herself of my table for her studies so I fail to prepare my lessons properly, but that's all right too. Before going to bed I listen to the theory of physics instead fairy-tales. My last dream was about transformers. I'm told I'm going to learn all that when I grow up, so I'll not have to learn same then. She passes on to her written tasks after having finished the oral ones. She leaves the light on till 3am and it gets impossible to sleep. The TV programs I like and those my sister does start at the same hour and I have to yield as that's the only time my sister is allowed to watch TV. In addition, and this will finally help you have a clear understanding of my state, I ran out to buy copy-books and pens for her once a week. Well, next year I shall have to study and she'll understand whose state is more serious.

“The Great Combinator” (Confusion)

The Great Combinator

After tiring of moving the needle up and down, I decided to have a rest. I look at the finished braclet and admire it. Vay, it seems one of the beads is narrower than the others. I think of undoing the whole thing. No, how can I? I’ve spent an hour making it. Well, I'll give it to my sister as a present. I am sure she'll be a bit surprised but that'll be alright.
Here is another one. I'll give it to my friend. It is sure to go perfectly with her new dress. The blue one is the colour of another friend's eyes. I'll give one to my younger sister, she is fond of trinkets like that. I'll probably give some to my "Chat" friends.
Uh oh, I can imagine how many people will be wearing my braclets will be in some years. I'll have lots of orders. I'll not be able to manage alone, so I'll open a factory.
It's stuffy. I open my eyes and see my threads, needles and the half-completed braclet. "Well, I'll finish this another day."
I made up mind and ran up to the computer. God knows when I'll remember all this again.
