Narek Margaryan's Stories

“Football passions” (Confusion)It takes me much time to get to school: from Norki Zangvats to Yeritasardakan metro station. I take books from Khnko-Aper library, attend music classes. My mom says I spend much more time outside than at home. That is why my parents give me hundred drams to buy something to eat. When I am not hungry, I collect money and buy a football newspaper at the end of the week. I forgot to tell you that I am mad about football and do not miss a game on TV. As for international matches, they just cannot pull me away from TV under any threat, even if these matches start at midnight. Some days ago mom found some savings in my pocket. First she thought of something bad but when I explained her everything, she both calmed down and got annoyed. “You do understand that your health is the most important thing for me,” she said. “You may faint in the street if you do not eat, you may feel dizzy.” Maybe mom is right but I will rather faint from the lack of football news than from hunger. Were the Armenian football newsletters cheaper, I would faint neither from the lack of information, nor from hunger.
