Vardan Arshakouni's Stories
|
untitled (Stories About Spring)It was spring. My father told me that he had missed my grandpa. So he took us to Goris to visit him. It was a shiny day. I didn’t feel that I was tired on the way. My cousin told me that the lizards are on the stones now because it was warm day. He told me to catch a lizard and take it to Yerevan. When we were getting close to the lizards they were running away from us. We could only catch the tail of the lizard. I tried for three days but I was catching only the tails of the lizards. My grandpa told me that the tails of the lizards are turning into money. So we think that if the tails of Vardan turned into money we would become millioners. If you keep the tail of the lizard in your pocket you will become rich. I’m not against to become a rich person, but I won’t keep the tail in my pocket, because I hate it.
