20 GOLDEN RULES

This 20 rules rules outlined by the young people of the “Manana” Youth Educational-Cultural Center to help those who want to write.

1. Write facts only.

2. Don't insult the people about whom you are writing.

3. Write only when you feel like you have something to say.

4. Don't publish someone’s personal secrets.

5. Don't try to imitate adults’ style of writing.

6. Don't plagiarize.

7. Be frank in your writing. Don’t think about what impression it might give people.

8. Write what your inner voice says.

9. Don't take bribes.

10. Don't write if you are conceited!

11. Remember that you always have something to learn.

12. Don't be biased.

13. Respect the person about whom you are writing.

14. Don't preach to your reader.

15. Care about what you write.

16. Have a personal opinion.

17. Be the kind of journalist that will earn the trust of the reader.

18. Have a sense of responsibility and duty to your writing.

19. Don't betray the journalistic team.

20. Write with love!
